Philip Button is a prominent executive in the global entertainment, sports, and media industry. He serves as the founder and CEO of Seven XV Ventures and as Partner and Chief Business Officer of Golden Boy Promotions.

Button started his career at the William Morris Agency (WMA), where he ascended from the esteemed mailroom program to the role of Senior Vice President of Global Sports & Entertainment, playing a pivotal role in building and expanding the division at WMA. Following the merger between WMA and Endeavor, Button held the position of Senior Vice President at WME (an Endeavor Company). His focus encompassed securing deals and providing consulting to companies spanning film, TV, financing, sports, music, fashion, culinary arts, endorsements, sponsorships, commercial, licensing, branded lifestyle, social & digital media, publishing, international business development and corporate consulting. Button has represented internationally renowned personalities and athletes such as Jackie Chan, Lionel Richie, Usher, Oscar de la Hoya, Alex Rodriguez, Steve Nash, Michelle Wie, Pele, Marcela Valladolid, Fan Bing Bing and sports teams and corporate clients such as Chelsea Football Club, Los Angeles Dodgers, Digital Domain, 24 Hour Fitness, and New Evolution Fitness. Moreover, Button acted as the liaison between WME and The Raine Group, a boutique investment and merchant bank focusing on technology, media, and telecommunications.
In 2015, Button assumed the role of Executive Vice President, International Production & Management at STX Entertainment. During his tenure, he concentrated on international productions, talent partnerships, new business ventures, and forging strategic alliances that contributed to STX's global expansion. Button served as an Executive Producer for the $150 million global box office hit "The Foreigner," featuring Jackie Chan and Pierce Brosnan which was directed by Martin Campbell. He led the project's development and helped structure and secure the co-financing and distribution of the Sino-Foreign Co-Production. Additionally, Button facilitated a co-production between Channing Tatum’s production company Free Association and Tencent Pictures and worked on business collaborations with Jennifer Lopez and Kobe Bryant.
In 2019, Button founded Seven XV Ventures, specializing in global business opportunities across entertainment, sports and branded lifestyle. Seven XV's endeavors include developing and producing content, celebrity brand partnerships, talent management, strategic consulting & advisory services and early investment opportunities. Notable clients and partners have included Westbrook Studios, Kevin Hart’s Hart Beat Media, Mark Wahlberg’s Unrealistic Ideas, Stept Studios, Angel Margarita, Matriarca Foods, Jackie Chan, Marcela Valladolid, Oscar de la Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions, Juice Beauty, and others. Seven XV is a Partner and an advisor to Angel Margarita, a premium ready-to-drink margarita cocktail made with 100% Agave Tequila. Seven XV brokered and advised the company in securing Academy Award-nominated actress, multi-platinum recording artist, and producer Hailee Steinfeld as a founding partner and brand ambassador. Furthermore, Seven XV invested early in Mikuna, a clean single source plant protein, and facilitated the involvement of six-time X Games gold medalist and professional skateboarder Leticia Bufoni as a brand ambassador and investor.
In 2023, Button joined Oscar de la Hoya’s Golden Boy Promotions (GBP) as a Partner and Chief Business Officer. GBP stands as one of boxing’s premier and most active promoters, organizing events in packed venues globally. Throughout its 20-year history, GBP has spearheaded some of the sport's most monumental and highest-grossing events. Button's responsibilities include spearheading the development, execution, and management of the company's business and commercial strategy, encompassing media rights, licensing, merchandise, live events, Pay Per View, sponsorships, content development and strategic investments and partnerships.

Button, who is bilingual (Spanish), holds a B.A. in History with a specialization in Business Administration from the University of California, Los Angeles. He was also a member of their nationally ranked NCAA Division 1 soccer team. Additionally, Button earned a certification in Mergers & Acquisitions from the Columbia Business School Executive Education program. He resides in San Diego with his partner, Marcela Valladolid, and their children Fausto, David, and Anna Carina.
