Philip Button is a leading executive in the global entertainment, sports, and media industry. He is the Founder and CEO of Seven XV Ventures, a platform operating at the intersection of sports, entertainment, and branded lifestyle.

Philip began his career at the William Morris Agency (WMA), rising from the renowned mailroom program to Senior Vice President of Global Sports & Entertainment, where he helped build and expand the division. Following the WMA–Endeavor merger, he served as Senior Vice President at WME (an Endeavor Company), securing deals and advising companies across film, television, sports, music, fashion, culinary arts, brand partnerships, and corporate strategy.

He has represented world-renowned talent, including Jackie Chan, Lionel Richie, Usher, Oscar De La Hoya, Alex Rodriguez, Steve Nash, Andy Roddick, Michelle Wie, Pelé and Fan Bingbing, as well as major organizations such as Chelsea FC, the Los Angeles Dodgers, Digital Domain, and 24 Hour Fitness. He also served as liaison between WME and The Raine Group, a leading merchant bank focused on technology, media, and telecommunications.

In 2015, Philip joined STX Entertainment as Executive Vice President, International Production & Management, leading global partnerships and co-productions. He executive-produced the $150M global box-office hit “The Foreigner” (Jackie Chan, Pierce Brosnan; dir. Martin Campbell) and structured multiple cross-border ventures, including collaborations with Channing Tatum’s Free Association, Tencent Pictures, Jennifer Lopez, and Kobe Bryant.

In 2019, he founded Seven XV Ventures, focused on content, celebrity brand partnerships, strategic consulting, and early-stage investments. Seven XV has collaborated with Westbrook Studios, Kevin Hart’s HartBeat Media, Mark Wahlberg’s Unrealistic Ideas, Stept Studios, Digital Domain, Jackie Chan, and Marcela Valladolid, among others.

Philip is an equity partner and advisor to Angel Margarita, a premium ready-to-drink tequila cocktail, where he secured Hailee Steinfeld as a founding partner and brand ambassador. He is also the Founding Partner of Matriarca Foods, a California-Mexican inspired food brand focused on organic, clean, and authentic ingredients, created and founded by celebrity chef and best-selling author Marcela Valladolid. Additionally, he is an early investor in Mikuna, a plant-based nutrition company, and helped secure six-time X Games gold medalist pro-skateboarder Leticia Bufoni as a brand ambassador.

From 2023 to 2025, Philip served as Partner and Chief Business Officer at Golden Boy Promotions (GBP), overseeing the company’s global commercial strategy across media rights, sponsorships, live events, and partnerships. He remains an equity partner in the company.

Button, who is bilingual (Spanish), holds a B.A. in History with a specialization in Business Administration from the University of California, Los Angeles. He was also a member of their nationally ranked NCAA Division 1 soccer team. Additionally, Button earned a certification in Mergers & Acquisitions from the Columbia Business School Executive Education program. He resides in San Diego with his partner, Marcela Valladolid, and their children Fausto, David, and Anna Carina.
